Frequently Asked Questions

1) What qualifications do I need to study in the UK/Australia/New Zealand?

Common entry qualifications are as below. Acceptance and/or exemptions will be based on academic merits.

U.K. - 'A' Levels/STPM or equivalent (for 1st year entry); Diploma/HND or equivalent (for 2nd/3 year entry).

Australia - 'A' Levels/STPM/SAM or equivalent (for 1st year entry); Diploma or equivalent (for 2nd year entry).

New Zealand - 'A' Levels/STPM or equivalent (for 1st year entry); Diploma or equivalent (for 2nd year entry).

2) When are the intakes?

Australia - Feb/March and July*.

New Zealand - Feb/March and July*.

U.K. - Sept/Oct and Jan/Feb*.

3) Is there any closing date for applications?

You should apply as soon as possible in order to secure a place at the institution. It is advisable to submit an application to our office 3 months before the course commencement date to allow adequate time for processing and to ensure that a place in the preferred course is available.

4) Do I need a visa to study?

Yes, you do. Visa requirements vary for each country. Speak to our counsellors for more details on how and when to apply or visit the websites.

5) Do I need to sit for an English Language test?

It depends on each institutions' entry requirement, however the majority will require an IELTS overall score of 6.0 or TOEFL overall score of 550 (computer based of 213).

6) Can I work whilst studying abroad

Each country will have different regulations on international students working. Majority will allow 20hours/week during academic period.

7) Are there any bursaries/discounts/scholarships available?

Some institutions do offer this. For information please go to scholarships/bursaries.

8) Where do I stay while studying?

You have two options; either choose to stay on campus (Institutions' Halls of Residence) or off campus (private accommodation).
